Holly Gagnon becomes Board Chair, Matevž Mazij transitions to CEO role

On Wednesday, the company confirmed the appointment of Holly Gagnon to the role of Chair of its Board of Directors.

Assuming the role of Chair, she succeeds Matevž Mazij. The latter will transition to a Chief Executive role at Bragg Gaming, while also retaining his position on the company's Board of Directors as a member.

Before her appointment as Chair of the Board of Directors, Gagnon held the role of Lead Director since 2021.

The executive shared her excitement, revealing that she is honored to serve as the Chair of Bragg Gaming's Board of Directors, Casino Guru News learned from a press release.

"Matevž and the leadership team have done a remarkable job positioning the Company for long-term success," Gagnon added.

Finally, the new Chair of the Board said: "I look forward to working closely with the board and management to build on this strong momentum, capitalize on the many growth opportunities ahead, and maintain our commitment to strong corporate governance on behalf of all our stakeholders."

Mazij deemed Gagnon as an "outstanding choice" for the Chair of the company's Board role.

"Her wealth of gaming industry experience, strategic insights and passion for governance best practices will be tremendous assets as we continue to execute on our growth initiatives," he added.

Mazij highlighted Gagnon's solid contributions as Lead Director since 2021, adding that he is looking forward to seeing her continue to lead by example as Chair.

The outgoing Chair said that it was a privilege to hold that role and oversee Bragg Gaming's transformation into a globally trusted online gambling provider.

"I have the utmost confidence in the exceptional management team we have built and remain fully committed to driving our strategy forward as CEO," Mazij outlined.

The new Board Chair has solid experience and a track record

Gagnon holds an MBA from Chaminade University of Honolulu as well as a B.S. in Accounting from Bentley University.

In addition, she is a Certified Public Accountant and serves as a lecturer on leadership and hospitality/gaming at the University of Massachusetts Isenberg School of Management.

Overall, Gagnon has more than 30 years of leadership experience in the gambling sector.

While her career started at the opening of Foxwoods Resort and Casino, she has held a number of senior level roles at Chumash Enterprises, Seneca Gaming Corporation, as well as Caesars Entertainment and MGM Resorts International, among other leading gaming and hospitality companies.

Earlier this year, Bragg Gaming and Caesars Entertainment extended their partnership to cover both content and technology.

The partnership extension reaffirmed the success of the duo's previous collaborations.
