The leading lottery software, technology and solutions provider, powering nearly 90 lottery customers on six continents, Brightstar Lottery, expanded its European footprint.
The company confirmed Thursday it extended its partnership with Lotto Saxony, or the Sächsische Lotto-GmbH, in the State of Saxony, Germany.
Lotto Saxony enhances retail system capabilities with technology from Brightstar
The new collaboration builds on the success between the duo. However, under the terms of the new seven-year contract, Brightstar Lottery agreed to upgrade Lotto Saxony's retail central system.
As a result, the latter will benefit from Aurora, Brightstar Lottery's comprehensive retail system technology.
Moreover, Lotto Saxony will tap into the lottery solutions provider's advanced cloud-based software, strengthening its operating capabilities.
Aurora plays a major part of Brightstar Lottery's omnichannel solution for lotteries called OMNIA.
The comprehensive retail central system technology has already proven its effectiveness in boosting profitability and driving innovation.
Leveraging this cutting-edge technology, Lotto Saxony will gain access to user-friendly applications, as well as a range of tools and reporting features.
This significantly improves operational capabilities, game management and transaction processing.
Moreover, the Lottery will also tap into cloud-based Aurora products such as Anywhere, which permits secure connection of external applications to the retail system, as well as Performance Wizard, which brings unique insights and analytics features.
Recently, Brightstar Lottery posted strong Q2 results, highlighting the completion of a number of strategic objectives.
The deal brings excitement to the duo
Marco Tasso, Brightstar Lottery's Chief Operating Officer International and Italy Operations, shared his excitement about the new alliance in Germany.
"This new seven-year contract marks an exciting chapter for Brightstar and Lotto Saxony as we work together to modernize lottery solutions throughout the state," he explained.

He said that those cutting-edge solutions and tech are precisely the reason why Lotto Saxony first joined forces with the company decades ago.

Earlier this summer, Brightstar announced the completion of the sale of its Gaming & Digital business.
