The leading general contractor, C.W. Driver Companies, confirmed the grand opening of Jamul Casino Resort, a new world-class hospitality and entertainment destination located east of Downtown San Diego.
The new hotel tower with 16 stories officially opened to visitors earlier this week, bringing in a range of additional amenities.
The existing casino and the new hotel tower are seamlessly connected
Notably, Jamul Casino Resort is seamlessly connected to the existing casino.
This was achieved via the demolition of the Community Center, which made way for the construction of the Jamul Casino hotel extension.
Ensuring the seamless connection to the existing casino, the developer constructed a climate-controlled pedestrian sky bridge that is enclosed.
This pedestrian walkway enables guests to travel freely and conveniently.
At the same time, during the construction, the existing Tribal administration modular building was relocated, while the developer ensured that all existing amenities would continue to operate during the building works.
Mary Cheeks, Jamul Casino Resort's President and General Manager, shared her excitement, Casino Guru News learned from a press release.
She praised C.W. Driver for seamlessly connecting the two properties.
"This new hotel is a key step in transforming us into a true destination—offering an immersive experience that will keep guests returning again and again," Cheeks added.
Erica M. Pinto, Chairwoman of the Jamul Indian Village, was similarly excited and said: "We are deeply grateful to C.W. Driver for helping us bring our vision to life—a resort that not only complements Jamul Casino but also honors the spirit and heritage of our Tribe."
Finally, Pinto outlined: "This hotel represents more than growth; it’s a meaningful step in creating lasting opportunities for our Tribal community and welcoming guests into the heart of who we are."
Different amenities await visitors to the Jamul Casino Resort
Guests at Jamul Casino Resort can now enjoy a range of hospitality and entertainment options.
The new hotel, spanning nearly 254,000 square feet, offers 148 standard guest rooms, as well as 52 suites.
