The fast-growing iGaming studio, Million Games, hit a major milestone by securing a license in Sweden.
Earlier this week, the company confirmed it has successfully obtained its license from the Swedish Gaming Authority, Spelinspektionen.
Million Games plans Swedish growth
Securing licensing in Sweden represents an important achievement for Million Games, considering that this is the company's home market.
Thanks to the green light from Spelinspektionen, Million Games can now move forward with certifying individual game titles and prepare its launch with Swedish-licensed gambling operators.
Ultimately, the latest licensing represents an important part of that process that will help Million Games' quality content reach Swedish players.
Thomas Nimstad, Million Games' CEO, shared his excitement about the latest announcement, Casino Guru News learned from a press release.
"This license is more than a box ticked — it’s a commitment to building a future where creativity and compliance go hand in hand," the executive explained.
With the license awarded by the Swedish Gaming Authority, Million Games can begin building relationships with operators that hold a license in the country.
This complemented the company's mission to create entertaining, bold, compliant and responsible games.
While the license is expected to propel the reach of Million Games' portfolio, it also reinforces the company's growth strategy.
This strategy includes expanding into regulated markets, while maintaining focus on long-term sustainability, player protection and the delivery of engaging experiences.
Back in September, Spelinspektionen announced a fine and a warning against Kanon Gaming.
The latest milestone also comes at a time when Million Games plans to showcase its latest titles during one of the most-anticipated events for the gaming industry next year.
That is ICE Barcelona 2026, set to take place between January 19 and 21, 2026, at Fira Gran Via, Barcelona, Spain.
Participating in the exciting event, Million Games will present its thrilling games at Stand 2C72.
