The supplier of next-gen games, popular in online casino markets across the globe, SPRIBE, achieved a major legal milestone in its fight against Aviator LLC, a Georgian company.
Only recently, the former obtained an interim injunction from the UK High Court, preventing Aviator LLC from marketing or launching a copycat game of SPRIBE's hit title, Aviator.
SPRIBE protects its award-winning Aviator game in the UK
It was back in 2020 when SPRIBE secured a license for its Aviator game in the UK.
Since then, the award-winning game has skyrocketed in popularity, reaching new players and delivering unforgettable experiences.
Recently, SPRIBE's award-winning product was threatened after the Georgian company, Aviator LLC, confirmed its intent to release a game which is also called Aviator and according to SPRIBE, that game is a copycat of its own Aviator game.
The Georgian company also conducted promotional communications, allegedly targeting SPRIBE customers, SPRIBE claimed.
As explained by SPRIBE, the copycat game "blatantly infringes the copyright works which SPRIBE owns in its game and seeks to misappropriate the goodwill which SPRIBE has created in its Aviator brand."
In light of this infringement, the company launched legal action against Aviator LLC, seeking to prevent potential financial and reputational damages.
The recently granted interim injunction effectively prevented Aviator LLC from engaging in marketing activities or launching a copycat game of SPRIBE's game in the UK.
The company is pleased with the UK High Court's decision
David Natroshvili, SPRIBE's Founder, shared his excitement about the latest decision of the UK High Court.
"I am pleased that the highly respected UK Court supports our position and has granted an injunction preventing Aviator LLC from launching and promoting its copycat game," he revealed.
Finally, Natroshvili pointed out: "SPRIBE created the Aviator crash game in 2018 and is the sole owner of the game globally. We will continue to take all necessary steps globally to protect SPRIBE, our partners and players from any third parties who seek to undermine or infringe our rights."
SPRIBE's Aviator game has enjoyed resounding success, constantly growing its customer base.
With the latest decision of the UK High Court, SPRIBE will be able to better protect its intellectual property and avoid potential losses or reputational risks.
