Prevention programs reached an estimated 5 million children and young people
The 2014-founded charity is renowned for the vital resources, training, guidance and advice it provides on gaming and gambling harm.
Currently, Ygam has a presence across the nation and can be found in every region of England, Scotland, Wales, as well as Northern Ireland.
Notably, the charity is present in 64 out of 76 cities in the UK, enabling it to reach hundreds of thousands of people at each location.
Earlier this week, Ygam confirmed it has now accomplished a major milestone by reaching an estimated five million young people and children with its award-winning portfolio of prevention programs across the UK.
This monumental achievement reaffirms the charity's leading position as a trusted and respected source of guidance and advice to families and young people.
In a statement, Helen Martin, Ygam's Interim CEO, spoke with excitement about the recent accomplishment.
"This milestone is more than just a number – it’s a reflection of the positive impact we’re making in every corner of the UK," she said.
Moreover, Martin pointed out: "We’re incredibly proud of the growing community that shares our passion for safeguarding children’s wellbeing in an increasingly complex digital world, where gaming and gambling are more accessible than ever."
The executive highlighted the charity's noble mission of raising awareness and providing education and tools to parents, colleges and community centers, as well as sports clubs and schools.
According to Martin, the milestone achievement comes at a time when the demand for Ygam's resources has never been greater.
Finally, the Interim CEO said: "We remain committed to expanding our reach and deepening our impact, ensuring that every child has the knowledge and confidence to navigate the risks of gaming and gambling harms."
Ygam stays true to its noble mission to prevent gaming and gambling harm
Since its foundation in 2014, Ygam has constantly expanded its reach and provided its award-winning training and resources on gambling harm and gaming to more than 32,000 delegates.
What's more, Ygam helped train more than 5,500 professionals employed in health care, such as health boards, hospitals, and other similar establishments.
Ultimately, this multi-layered approach, in combination with raising public awareness, contributed to the prevention of gambling harms and the digital safeguarding of nearly half a million young people and children.
